The Challenge: WiFi for a Property with Dispersed Architecture
A luxury villa in Cap Cana with a main house, 3 guest cabanas, caretaker's house, machinery room, private dock, and yacht area presented a unique challenge: 8 separate buildings distributed across 2,000 m² of tropical garden. Cabling each building with fiber would have required excavating 180 meters of perfectly designed garden.
The Solution: High-Speed Wireless Mesh
Wireless Backbone: We installed 4 pairs of UISP AirMax point-to-point links between key buildings, using roof eaves as mounting points. Each building receives 300-500 Mbps of backhaul without excavating the garden.
- APs per Building: Each cabana has its own UniFi U7 Pro AP with a unified SSID. A guest leaving their cabana to the pool area makes automatic handoff to the nearest outdoor AP without interruptions.
- Dock and Yacht Area: UniFi U7 Outdoor APs resistant to marine salinity on the dock, powered via PoE from specific underwater cable. Coverage up to 100 meters offshore.
- Centralized Control: The owner manages the entire property — which devices have access, maximum speed per SSID, children's access schedules — from their phone.
